Simon Mapp - Group Manager & Group Controller
Simon is the Group Manager and Group Controller for Emergency Management Southland. He has previously worked for the NZ Police for 16 years. Simon has joined us from Environment Southland where he worked as a Compliance Manager.
Craig Sinclair - Team Leader Response
Craig has been with EMS since its inception in 2010. Previously worked in NZ Police for 24 years and spent 30 years as a volunteer Fire Fighter. Is involved with the Eastern Southland Landsar team as a member of the Incident Management Team. Married to Linda with four adult children.
Aly Curd - Team Leader Resilience
Aly is the Community Team Leader at Emergency Management Southland. Aly comes from a community development background and has a Master in Emergency Management from Massey University. She has experience working both in New Zealand and overseas.
Tracey Fraser - Response Advisor
Tracey is a Response Advisor at Emergency Management Southland. Tracey comes from a retail and hospitality management background and was a volunteer with Red Cross for several years, in roles ranging from governance to disaster welfare support. A born and bred Southlander and mother of one, Tracey likes to get outdoors when she can.
Mallory Wood - Community Advisor
Mallory is a Community Advisor for Emergency Management Southland. She has a Master of Emergency Management from Massey University and is currently a member of the Southland LandSAR team. In her spare time Mallory enjoys getting outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Amy Rogers - Community Advisor
Amy is a Community Advisor for Emergency Management Southland. She is originally from Salford in the Northwest of England, and moved here with her Invercargill born partner in 2018. Amy has previously worked in various back office roles, including with Red Cross Crisis Response in the UK. In her spare time Amy enjoys watching films and musicals and appreciating the beautiful Southland scenery.

Alice Lake-Hammond - AF8 Programme Manager
Alice is the Programme Manager for AF8 [Alpine Fault magnitude 8], a programme of scientific modelling, emergency management and community engagement aimed at preparing the South Island for the next severe Alpine Fault earthquake. Alice has a Master of Disaster, Design and Development from RMIT University, Melbourne, and 15 years experience in communications, engagement and design for NGOs and IGOs in Europe, Asia and New Zealand.
